The Local Government Unit of Nagbukel reaffirmed its commitment to social inclusion and community welfare as it awarded financial and educational assistance to Solo Parents and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) during this morning’s First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony.

The monthly program was jointly hosted by Barangay Lapting and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

As part of the municipal government’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable sectors, cash aid was directly distributed to qualified Solo Parents and PWD residents. Additionally, targeted educational assistance was provided to PWD students to help ease the financial burden of their schooling and encourage continued education.

“These initiatives reflect our continuing commitment to uplift vulnerable sectors in our community and ensure that government support reaches those who need it most,” the LGU leadership noted during the turnover.

The event underscores Nagbukel’s multi-sectoral approach to local governance, combining administrative routines with direct social service delivery.
